Terms of service

1. General provisions

1. Karciak.pl, referred to below as the Service, provides free card, board and social games in a browser, for solo play with bots or online play with other players. Karciak is the English edition of the same service.
2. Contact the Service administrator at kontakt@idtv.pl.
3. Use of the Service is free and constitutes acceptance of these terms.
4. All games are for entertainment only. There are no real-money games or prizes of real value. Chips, XP and ELO have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money.

2. Accounts and player identity

1. You may use the Service as a guest, with an identity saved in the current browser, or create an account with a username and password to play from several devices.
2. An account belongs to one person. Do not share its password.
3. Nicknames must not be vulgar, offensive, misleading, impersonate the administration or infringe another person’s rights. The administrator may change a nickname that breaks these rules.
4. You may permanently delete your account at any time using the Delete account control in your profile.

3. Games and chat

1. Insults, profanity, hate speech, spam, unlawful content, advertising and posting personal information about yourself or others are prohibited in chat.
2. Deliberately disrupting games, including abandoning ranked matches or colluding to manipulate ELO, is prohibited. Unauthorised bots, scripts and other forms of gameplay automation are prohibited.
3. Do not interfere with the Service, bypass its safeguards or attempt unauthorised access.
4. Chat messages are recorded for moderation as described in the privacy policy.

4. Moderation

1. For a breach of these terms, the administrator may mute chat, temporarily or permanently block access, including by IP address, change a nickname or delete an account.
2. You may appeal a block by contacting the address in section 1.

5. Bots and matchmaking

1. Solo games use bots and are clearly identified as such.
2. If a ranked queue does not find another player promptly, a server bot using a player-style nickname may become the opponent. This allows a game to start when few people are online. Automated accounts are identified as Bot in the relevant results displays.

6. Availability and responsibility

1. The Service is provided as is. The administrator works to keep it stable but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and is not responsible for progress, points or ratings lost because of failures or maintenance.
2. The administrator is not responsible for content posted by players in chat, but moderates it when reported or detected.

7. Player age

The Service is intended for people aged 13 and over. Younger people may use it with a parent’s or guardian’s consent and supervision.

8. Changes to these terms

The terms may change, for example when features are added. The current Polish version remains available at karciak.pl/regulamin with its effective date; this English edition is available in the Karciak terms section. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of that change.
